Why do we give these guys so much heavy shit they won't use? Because we hate them.

Seriously, AT-4 is over kill. The LAW is much better for long range patrols. Seriously, when was the last time we fought any tanks?

So more explosive power and less supressive fire? That's not really THAT great of an upgrade. And in all honesty kind of ineffective. How much grenades can they carry and how often do they really have to use them? Not to mention how incumbered those grenadiers would be. More firepower is still better in my opinion.

No offense but the USMC are a bunch of fairy's compared to the Royal Marine Commandos. My Royal Marine pal says when training with the USMC he compares them too British army grunts, if it wasn't for the yanks fire power they wouldn't be much use.

    So I get what they're trying to do here…except I don't.
If you have three "automatic riflemen"(just marines with M4s or M16A3s?), three Grenadiers, and three fire team leaders, an electronics specialist, an assistant squad lead, and a squad lead, who tf is operating the DMR and range finder?

Let's go over this real quick because I was under the assumption that the riflemen ran these extra equipment.

Looking at this layout, I'll try to deduce how this works because it doesn't seem to make much sense at first.

Command: Will be the command structure of the squad and thus need to be in contact with central command and shit as well as be able to call in air strikes. They'd need to have the [Radio], [Quad copter], [Tablet], and [Range finder]. Contrary to popular belief, the range finder is NOT for the DMR, it's to help call in airstrikes and arty. It CAN be used in conjunction wit the DMR, but the DMR probably won't be making any shots that would require one.

Squad Lead> Has the radio as he is the one who will be calling in arty.
Ass. SL> Has the range finder to help assist the SL in ranging enemy positions while the SL is on the radio. Or vice versa.
Electronics Sp.> Has the quad copter and tablet for controlling it. Is in the command squad to assist the SL.

Fire Team 1: While each fire team has it's specialized role, fire team one will be the suppression fire team. They will have the belt fed LMG and will position themselves strategically to assist the rest of the squad and platoon while they move up. The main anti-infantry fire team, they'll work around supporting the Automatic rifleman with the Grenadier carrying spare belts and providing security while the fire team leader picks positions to operate and targets to service.

FT Lead 1> Carries spare belts and 40mm grenades for the grenadier. If needed can also carry the range finder to assist.
Auto. Rifle> Carries a belt fed LMG for suppression purposes. Requires no assistant thanks to modern innovation except ammo.
Grenadier> Provides security and spare ammo/barrels for the automatic rifleman.

Fire Team 2: This fire team will be the medium anti-tank fire team equipped with the rocket launcher. Their job is to provide anti-tank capabilities to the squad, because as the saying goes: Any infantry unit without anti-tank capabilities is overrun or retreating.

FT Lead2> Carries the MAAWS for main anti-tank capabilities.
Auto. Rifle> Carries the spare rockets and provides security for the team.
Grenadier> Provides security for the fire team and squad. Basically an upgraded rifleman.

FT3: This fire team revolves around the DMR and it's precise capabilities.

FT Lead 3> Carries the DMR for obvious purposes.
Auto. Rifle> Carries the lighter automatic rifle and provides security and such.
Grenadier> At this point I'm just repeating myself. More or less upgraded rifleman.

No more "buddy system" in the structure? Well, that's not a great idea in my point of view. Also, new structure is more susceptible to combat losses.. New weapons are fine, but why change the old, near perfect structure? Maybe it's about the troop capacity of the marine infantry vehicles?
