Alligator Dagger 2017 Interview member of the 15th Marine Expedition Unit

ARTA BEACH, Djibouti (NNS) — U.S., U.K. and France began Exercise Alligator Dagger 17, April 5. The two-week multilateral amphibious exercise is taking place in international waters off the coast of Djibouti and in the vicinity of Djibouti and Arta Beach, April 5 – April 20.

Exercise Alligator Dagger 17, led by U.S. Naval Amphibious Forces, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (51/5), is a multilateral amphibious exercise with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) as part of the sustainment training for ARG/MEUs in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. The Alligator Dagger Exercise iterations familiarize ARG/MEUs with the CENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) and sharpen tactical proficiency.

Coast Guard video captures captain rescuing crew member

In this raw video released by the Coast Guard, the captain of a capsized fishing boat helps a member of his crew get to another boat off the Alaska coast. The captain of the Grayling jumped into the water to rescue two of his crewmen in the Kupreanof Strait near Raspberry Island, Alaska.

Casino ship gets stuck on sandbar in Goa, one crew member hurt

The Indian Coast Guard rescued four crew members from an off shore casino vessel which got stuck on a sandbar off Miramar beach, evoking sharp reaction from the opposition Congress which demanded immediate arrest of the owner and a statement by the chief minister. One of the crew members was injured while the other three were found suffering from sea sickness following the incident which took place on Saturday night.
