The Russian and Syrian Air Force has intensified its military campaign against the IS in the three central provinces of Raqqa, Hama and Deir Ezzur in central Syria, causing massive casualties to terrorists and destroying some of their positions.
According to the FNA news agency, Russian-Syrian fighter jets attacked IS positions at Akash, Um Mil, Abu Jabilat and northern Qastal as well as Aqayrabat town in eastern Hama on August 31.
These aircraft bombarded the town of Ma’adan and the southern suburbs of southeastern Raqqa and areas near Deir Ezzur Air Base as well as the towns of Tal al-Qariya, al-Makabat, Panorama and al. -Tharda belongs to Deir Ezzur.
Dozens of terrorist gunmen were destroyed, some of the base and position of the rebels were crushed.
A military source confirmed on Aug. 26 that Syrian troops had completed a terrorist encirclement in the central region of the country.
According to sources, the 3,000 square-kilometer IS area at Homs and Hama is currently controlled by Syrian armed forces.
The source said Syrian troops had made an attack against IS in the south of Ithriya Township in northeastern Hama and joined the group that attacked the IS line of defense from locations north of the al -Sha’er of East Homs and proceeded towards the Jabal al-Fasedah area in East Hama.
The government took full control of all roads east of the town of al-Salamiyah in Hama Prefecture. IS pulled out large numbers of their forces before Syrian troops took control of the roads.
