The eighth Borei-class nuclear submarine named Knyaz (Prince) Pozharsky was laid down in the Russian city of Severodvinsk, Friday.
The Prince Pozharsky submarine is the final one in a series of eight Borei-class submarines and the fifth of the advanced Borei-A-class ones.
Three nuclear submarines of the Borei-class, the Yury Dolgorukiy, the Alexander Nevsky and the Vladimir Monomakh, were already handed over to the Russian Navy.
