Any further news on Marine Corporal Matthew Long's SAPI healing body armor under development? (featured in the latest Popular Mechanics 2017 breakthroughs P61) The inserts have a protective layer of packets with gel and painkillers and when pierced the gel turns to foam sealing the wound while forcing the painkillers into the wound, staving off shock and stanching blood loss. This fantastic idea could absolutely extend a Marines Golden Hour when wounded in combat.
