Las Vegas: Fuel tank update

This is an update on the top bullet strike into the fuel tank. First, we’ll cover another claim that the shot was impossible. We’ll then go over a few points related to the claim of a ground-based shooter. Finally, as new data comes in, we’ll show an updated bullet trajectory, since we want to keep the reconstruction as accurate as possible.

1. Horizontal angle claim
2. “Ground shooter” claims
3. Visibility
4. New data
5. Updated trajectory

Most likely last video on LV, unless some new info or data comes in. To address some comments:

    1) I don't find the residue a very credible argument, as the randomness of the explosion plays a big role. The residue was discussed just to show how inconsistent the original claim is, not because the residue is credible.

    2) An explosion is not a sphere. Compare the explosions @07:45 and @07:50. They spawn "baby fireballs" in different locations. This is what mostly determines the residue pattern.

    3) In a close up of the topmost shot, you can see the paint also chipped on the right and below, the chip just managed to not fall off.

    4) The interior corner of the rim iron (above the bullet hole in the topmost shot) is rounded, which affects paint adhesion, and shouldn't be compared to the much less curved areas of the tank.

Photo at 7:00 shows much more black residue to the left of the hole, indicating a shot from the right. Also, the paint is chipped off drastically on the left and above, which would indicate a shot from the right and perhaps even from below. The lip may have trapped energy between it and the hole, which could also be a factor in the result of more paint being removed above the hole.

In the photo at 3:10, the east-west plane is probably to the right of what you indicate. The v-shaped bar in front is almost perfectly edge on, and the opening on the right v-shaped bar is larger than on the left, indicating that the photographer would have to be further to the right to be at a 90°. This indicates that these v-shaped bars aren't perfectly aligned at 90° to the fence. One could return to the location and check this out, or further analyze the videos.

Her's an fairly easy task for you;-)
If only I've had computerskills to do this ->
Draw a green circle from right side of room 235(two) to the left side of 135(one).
Then draw a yellow circle in the exact same position but anti-clock wise in 235(two). And clockwise in 135(one).
Where those two circles overlap we could find his "enemy/target".

When having a target we might be able to go backwards.
In the movie shooter someone says: If you want to kill someone without getting everbody asking questinions, then do it when the person is next to higher profile.

Did anyone ever locate the other 6 bullet impacts that he may have used for sighters? I never heard anything on it. There were supposed to be 8 rounds shot.

seems weird that if they were trying to blow up the tanks by shooting them they only shot it twice……even with a semi auto you can shoot mayb two bullets a second so it wouldnt have taken long to put 10 bullets or so in it but we only see 2…..somethin dont add up

Hi Mr Visual, I was wondering, do you believe the bullet under the lip was intended to hit high because jet fuel ignites in its gaseous form which would be found higher in the tank if anywhere? Also, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the intent for the tannerite and ammonium nitrate found in Paddocks vehicle? Thanks.
