January 30, 2018 – Hundreds of migrants and the recovered bodies of two women reached the port of Augusta in Sicily on Tuesday (January 30), after being picked up in the Mediterranean sea. Around 800 migrants were rescued as they tried to reach Europe on Saturday (January 27), and two bodies were recovered, Italy’s coast guard, which coordinated the rescues, said in a statement.
