Named it Angel Sword so that housewives and concerned soccer mom unions and those activists that have no real work to do don't go after him and his business. You could easily imagine the 'public concerns' of selling sharp weaponry, if it was named something like 'Death Bloody Murder Sword Makers".

i hear stories it's cheaper to get an actual Excalibur IN stone with a detachable key chain and a pencil holder, leather scabbard , lots of unnecessary details, with a free complementary whetstone for sharpness, of course if you act now it's 10% off, no 5 year wait period, it's our way of saying just bend over a little more so we can stick this big Sword a little deeper in your Scabbard 😉

this guy is a snake oil salesman. his swords are in no way shape or form functional. the swords are just vaugly quality metal treated with some pretty normal processes that he claims he's the only one to know. An absolute fake.

I was once informed, by someone who was knowledeable, that the sharpest razor was sharpend to about 1 micron. However the masters of sharpening in Japan would sharpen to about 0.5 micron thickness of the edge. I have observed 1st hand many years ago, while visiting a family in Kobe Japan, and being introduced to various people in the various portions of the sword making process, a mastercraftsman hand finishing a sword of Japanese design. It takes a long time to finish this process by hand. I am sure that many have supplanted the traditional techniques with machinery by now. This gentleman describes training by Spanish swordsmiths and Japanese as well. Obviously he has developed his own designs to suit his own ideas of the craft. However I would like to observe his video on sharpening to the degree that he used to win the trophy in competition cutting.

Not impressed, but what do you expect from nbc, they are the masters of Lies and Exaggeration. I can name a number of people who make both better looking and more practical weapons. Jody Samson puts him to shame may he RIP.

A sword is only as good as the hand can make it.

the name came from a Mexican Smith named angel . he is who taught daniel. Mr Watson is also one of the greatest liars I have ever met. has sued countless knife and sword makers over his false claims to fame. he's so notorious for frivolous lawsuits he started getting laughed out of court in Texas at least

He even tried to sue Swordforum when they discussed his blades, he has a reputation for insecurity. Basically, a lawsuit against even mentioning his company on the forums as has already been discussed by some here. Everyone knows how the bozo tried to sue Tim Lively for forging in a charcoal forge, as if he owns the rights to forging in coal forges. Tried to patent ancient techniques as if he has sole ownership of techniques practise the world over for thousands of years. At fairs his staff often insult other makers.

Daniel Watson is a bit of a joke in the bladesmithing world. Mostly over priced clunky odd looking pieces that do not work as swords, edges sometimes too thin.
