Intercept Editor-in-Chief Betsy Reed moderated a discussion between Noam Chomsky and Daniel Ellsberg on the topic of nuclear policy and war. Chomsky, a laureate professor of linguistics at the University of Arizona, and Ellsberg, the Pentagon Papers whistleblower and author of “The Doomsday Machine: Confessions of a Nuclear War Planner,” appeared onstage together for the first time.

I read People’s History Of America, Zinn led me to Ellsberg and Chomsky. These are two of the most fascinating and intelligent people alive in my opinion. Unfortunately Zinn is no longer with us. Zinn said in the documentary about Ellsberg that he thinks it disappointed Ellsberg that people may have not cared as much as he thought they would. But I care and whenever I have a chance to talk about him with people I do. Thanks Intercept.

The world has not worked with any serious urgency to tackle climate change. I have only yesterday. Posted video that actually has concrete solutions to fight it now and not wait decades. To combat climate change. My solution has several vectors that will immediate address the issue. And supply us with total renewable energy needs globally. And on top of this it will also give our current cars a new source of fuel. That does not exacerbate fossil fuels dangers. As a matter of fact the fuel will help to cut back on 1 of the major factors in climate change. If this is something that interest anyone. Then check out my YouTube video. DNC Lies and Crime. A disclaimer. It is also a video stateing my intentions to run for Governor of Pennsylvania. That should not apply to most who view the video. But it is essential that the solutions I put in the video get out. To the worldwide public. For the solution is simple cost affective and will give the bottom 90% the control over the electrical production.

Patrick Cockburn was reporting on the Soviet militaries insufficiencies in the early 1980s. Détente was based on the tacit acknowledgement of it. The neo-cons crazy Team B report was based on pretending it was all a ruse and they had all kinds of secret weapons and production.

Our species' treatment of the nuclear issue almost makes me buy Freud's death drive theory.

[Look at Noam thinking, 'why did I agree to this again?] It would be so wonderful – for the masses – if you'd dispense with all the introductions and let discussions begin. Ideas and information are so more important than what Noam did at 10. These introductions are great for our professional class – but turn off the working class and the rest of us. No working class individual is going to sit through 10-15 minutes of rub and touch – they'll just move on. Talk about manufacturing consent…. #yousowhite

Insipid Bourgeois chat, no mention of capitalism & neo-colonialism as the fundamental enablers of war. Amply exposed Democrat supporter Noam Chomsky is quite tedious, as always.

American Neo-Con's and Neo-Liberal's want the last of the Nations still free from their strangle hold to bend the knee . Russia will not …China and Iran and Syria at present will not . So it will come down to us backing off ..or Russia saying OK we'll Bend ..or OK you won't the Entire Planet …you can have it ..but only as a steaming pile of Radioactive Waste ..capable of supporting only bacteria and virus as life forms . America may well say OK we win .

Legendary panel but you waste all that time to gather 2 intellectual giants for 90mins in the same room without knowing (or worse knowing but not caring) what a decibel meter is. I shouldn't have to say I respect Scahill but I deeply disrespect what you're doing to the audio in your videos this is a proper criticism… Open the video in power director or literally any video editing app in the world then turn the audio UP TO ZERO before uploading to YT. Do NOT expect raw mics to record at 0 thats your job as the cameraman. OR open it in FL Studio, Ableton, Cubase, Logic, etc and better yet open any overdrive app within these sequencers then slightly tank the knob and run it under a limiter it takes 1-2 mins to fix audio this low.

Mehdi Hasan's Intercept piece (of shit) on Syrian dictator makes me think of him (Hasan) as vulgar nuclear war apologist. Imagine, would you sugest a nuclear attack against Japan on the pretext that Hirohito's army had caused numerous crimes against humanity? If you're a monster, you would. Hasan doesn't care about imperialist war and its consequences. He is a vulgar paid apologist for war and dictatorship (both bourgeois and savage autocratic rule by Qatar).
