Madang Provincial Police Commander is issuing a strong warning to candidates and their supporters not to carry any offensive weapons during the polling and counting period.

Superintendent, Jacob Singura, says his officers will be instructed to check all candidate’s and supporters vehicles.

Those caught in possession of any offensive weapons including unlicensed firearms will be arrested and charged.
