Today, all the ships of the country solemnly raised St. Andrew’s flags and the sailors, regardless of where they were sailing, lined up on the decks wearing their parade uniform. However, the main naval holiday, Navy Day, is celebrated not only by those on sea duty but by all the citizens of Russia.

    I visited a Russian warship back in 2011, and I know, they work under tremendous stress while keeping the seas safe…salute to them !

    Glorious traditions. More than a hundred years ago fighting British fishermen while on the way to sink Japan. Last great victory was sinking the "Gustloff".
